** ALASKA - 2002**
** Return to Victoria !! **

I was dressed and 'ready for action' by 6.58am, and went to breakfast by 7.05..
Later, I went for walks around the decks before and after our docking on the STARBOARD SIDE
at VICTORIA'S PORT. I was eating my brunch with a German/American friend as we discovered
that we had already docked!
Then it was off for a walk to the Inner Harbour from our docking point at OGDEN POINT. From that
point, I had turned RIGHT after leaving the ship (into Dallas Hoe?) but I didn't recognise the coast! I,
then, decided to walk the other way, but at Montreal Rd (?), I found a PEDICAB (bike!) driver who said
that the other COAST route is almost 4miles, whereas Montreal (Rd)? is only about a mile!
I walked around some pleasant areas of the INNER HARBOUR and, once there, around some paths
and small-scale parkland and later (for photos!) to the LEGISLATIVE BUILDINGS (seen in an earlier
tour - covering the CANADIAN ROCKIES).

In my return walk, I met two separate couples from our ship
and had brief chats.
On the return to my own room (i.e. a cabin!) I did my 'packing' for tomorrow's return to the UK. I indulged in
some coffee and chats with an old lady in the HARBOUR GRILL. Later, I did some further packing until the
'tea-time' in the Harbour Grill! I had a good 'tea' (i.e. coffee!) and refreshments - and repeated this whilst
observing sea-plane landings and takeoffs - and also a HELICOPTER landing.
On our final DINNER, everyone gave ONE American Lady (in our party table) their addresses. A bit later, I
gave her mine PLUS my EMail address. Then it was 'early to bed' for me!
