Chapter Four
SOGGINESS CONTINUED - Lake Louise
I departed from Banff - after suffering long breakfast delays in a very smoky
atmosphere - definitely leaving no 'tip' because of that - and went up the long valley
to Lake Louise and Jasper. I found 'Louise' a very over-rated over-wet resort
in the gloomy weather it experienced at the time.
Colleagues had given it a glowing report, - but I could not see across
the lake, let alone the mountains!! There might have been a series of good views had
it NOT been for the dense clouds, great mists and swirling RAIN! There we were, 7000feet
up over the great divide between British Columbia and Alberta.
