CHAPTER EIGHT
WHO'S GOING THERE NEXT? (Anyone??)
As reported in the previous Chapters - all sorts of friends, admired or stupid, 'went down' with
the 'bug' one by one, two by two, etc.
In addition - everyone had been plagued by the over-zealous sales-persons whose
sole ambition seemed to be to make the visitor very uncomfortable!!
Furthermore, in the years preceeding and following my visit, horrendous mal-treatment
of visitors (generally by 'killing') leaves one with the uneasy feelings of being real aliens,
if not from another planet, then equivalent to that status!!
The similar horrendous temperatures and dehydration problems made living for normal
human-beings decidedly unsafe, uncomfortable - and let's face it - alien!!
Who wants to return to Egypt after such hassles?? I certainly did not want to submit
my mind and body to such treatments when given a further opportunity when down in
Cyprus in 1999!! People who went on that trip gave their own horror stories of their
treatment, frustrations, hassles etc.. And they went to different areas than I had done!
