    Like "An Arctic Adventure" and Winter Tales" , this was also being produced as a prototype book. The transference to Word Processor has been abandoned and the 'notes taken at the time' are NOW being transferred direct to hypertext for my WEB here!! It tells of my 1994 and 1997 visits to the island and omits the details my return trip in 1996 (dealt with in "Winter Tales").
    As I restructure my writing plans, it means that the experiences from the July 1997 visit to this spectacular country are now integrated with this story in Chapter 10! The progress will, now, be entirely in the realm of recording it on the present WEB-SITE..

    The last few years, I had been toying with the idea of a self-drive motoring holiday in Iceland. In fact, it didn't reach my short-list for AD2000 or 2001! Now, it is unlikely to happen that way due to my deteriorating eyesite - which results in eye-strain with after-dark motoring (even in my own locality. In fact I sold my FINAL CAR in February 2001!!)
