 ICELAND - 1994

On the morning of 2nd July '94, I did a solo walk around Reykjavik from the Hotel ESJA to the 'Volcano Show' and, there, saw the great collection of Videos made by Villi (pronounced Willie, if you like) Knudsen and his father - and bought one before I left. [I would return here several times in future years and visits!]

On visiting Reykjavik in 1994, I had the privilege of meeting and talking with the great film/video maker, Villi Knudsen. Villi was just 19years old when he joined his father, Oswaldur, in the world-famous filming of the birth of the new island of Surtsey many years ago.
He has been running, for several years now, his own little viewing-cinema at:

Showings are in different sessions for different languages. I attended one of his English sessions and had a chat - and I HOPED to do so again in 1997. On the afternoon of Tuesday, 29th July of 1997, whilst on a quick visit to Reykjavik during a walking tour of South West Iceland, we did manage to meet up again.

Villi found time for a chat between my walks, before and after his personal introduction to the 3pm showing of films/videos at The Volcano Show (mainly to the French - I believe).

Amongst other things, we spoke of our mutual 'faith' in the Internet and E-Mail.
