** Winter Tales **
Hi, this is the 28 January 2005 edition
of
this page and shows the travelogue of my 'chilly visits', broken
down into its various chapters.Furthermore, it now allows you to
see some of the parts of the completed text. The reason
is because when, earlier whilst writing the Summary of 1996, I
transcribed parts of this file into hypertext which
you can now access from those that have links on this page:-
- Overland to the Dolomites
- Baselga Di Pine
- Serraia, the Frozen Lake
- World-Championship Speed-Skating
- Return to winter in England
- Snow-way to Belgium
- The Bridges of Brugge
- The trip to Greenland
- Snow-mobiling around Ammassalik
- Dogsledding over hills and mountains
- What's wrong with our plane?

STATUS OF
TRAVELOGUE
In a similar fashion to "An Arctic Adventure" this text
has, first
of all, been produced as a 'prototype book'. The transference to
Word Processor was quicker this time, being, completed on 5
February '97 despite a redefined greater size.
Furthermore, it contains more photos than 'An Arctic
Adventure',
these being taken personally whilst on the various travels.
The
mountings and presentation are, also, similar to those in the
"Arctic Adventure" desk-top-published-book.
In fact, from edition 62 of this Web Site, I started to
insert text from "WINTER TALES" - similar to what I'm
doing for "AN ARCTIC ADVENTURE".
But for WINTER TALES the text also
sneaks in via the travelogue for the 1996 'Past Travels'. As from
March '99 , there have been hypertext links to it!
So far, I've
transcribed virtually all of the story as you can see
by the above links.
