** AD1991 Summary **

This is the 7 January 2003 Edition of this page.

Here is the list of the travels by way of brief summaries on each.

RURAL HEREFORDSHIRE walks : March

These were memorable walks with my then current lady-friend.

BRIGHTON (Area) : Mid-April

Having been, embarassingly, phoned at work during a technical meeting with my line-manager ... by my then current lady-friend enquiring "would I like a week in Brighton?" I was in a dilemma about HOW to respond (that experience ONLY happens ONCE in a lifetine - at most) so I agreed 'on the spot' and learned more later!

Our OastHouse accommodation outside Brighton.

Having a good journey, there and back, calling on the very attractive BOURTON-on-the-WATER, we visited several SOUTH COAST attractions such as EASTBOURNE, BATTLE ABBEY etc..
[Later in the year we were to get 'engaged' - but some time later decided to 'go our own ways'!]

CROP CIRCLES (Wiltshire) : Mid-July

I was visiting my WILTSHIRE friends - we've known and visited each other since way back in 1955-6! Since the husband of the couple has some slight problems with his sight (partially blind), I normally take them out somewhere in my car. This time they were to suggest a visit to one of their 'Crop Circles' for which Wiltshire has been famous for some time.
View of CROP CIRCLE before visiting.

On entering the sight by the farmer's caravan, parked strategically at the field's entrance - I looked over the literature that he had on the subject - and bought the book "The CROP CIRCLE Enigma" editted by Ralph Noyes. (A very informative book - I'll might include some extracts from it in a future edition!)
